What does it mean for a creative work to be… Forged By Humanity?

Listed below are the standards required for a creative work to be considered Forged By Humanity, broken into general categories. If your creative work meets these standards, please consider joining with the other Creators of the Forged By Humanity community as we work together to preserve HUMAN creativity. Music Creation:
  • No use of AI chatbots to create the instrumentation, vocals, composition, arrangement, chord progressions, melodies, or lyrics of a musical piece.
  • Limited or no use of generative AI music creation tools within the DAW environment (tools that create the instrumentation, vocals, composition, arrangement, chord progressions, melodies, or lyrics).
  • Limited or no use of AI mixing and mastering tools within the DAW environment.
  • Limited or no use of online AI mastering tools.
  • Allowed:
    • Machine learning “smart” audio plugins.
    • Software instruments.
    • Use of AI chatbots for gathering research and information.
Visual Arts Creation:
  • No use of AI chatbots to create the majority of the visuals of the created work
    Limited to no use of generative AI.
  • Allowed:
    • Design software with out the use of generative AI functions.
    • Use of AI chatbots for gathering research and information.
Literary Arts and Other Written Media Creation:
  • No use of AI chatbots to create ANY of the final written content.
  • No use of proof reading tools that restructure the thoughts and ideas of the writer.
  • Allowed:
    • Use of AI chatbots for gathering research and sources.
    • Grammar and spell checking software.
    • Design software with out the use of generative AI functions.
    • Use of AI chatbots for gathering research and information.
Film, Theater, and Video Content Creation:
  • No use of AI chatbots to create ANY of the final written content.
  • No use of generative AI to create artificial characters or environments.
  • Allowed:
    • Use of 3D animation tools to create virtual environments and characters.
Creation of Other Physical Creative Works:
  • We are all creative in some way. Some of us use our creative abilities to do things of an physical nature that are not specifically artistically creative. Things like cabinetry, construction, machining.
  • Compliance for these types of creative endeavors is simply agreeing that you will not use AI powered software or machines to do the foundational aspects of your physically creative work. You are asserting that you are the creative force not AI.
  • Allowed:
    • Computer aided design and development tools.
Creation of Other Intellectual Creative Works:
  • We are all creative in some way. Some of us use our creative abilities to do things of an intelectual nature that are not specifically artistically creative. Things like accounting, web development, health care, and ministry.
  • Compliance for these types of creative endeavors is simply agreeing that you will not use AI to do the foundational aspects of your intellectual creative work. You are asserting that you are the creative force not AI.
  • Allowed:
    • Use of AI chatbots for gathering research and sources.
    • Grammar and spell checking software.
    • Computer aided design and development tools.
